Work readiness is a core tenant of Junior Achievement’s work and is fundamental to the future success of young people. On this episode of the Money JAR, we focus on internships, which are a great means by which young people can gain work readiness skills and learn more about themselves and their interests. Todd and Evan chat with Harriette Cole, life stylist, best-selling author and contributor to NBC’s Today Show. Harriette started her career as an intern and currently hires interns in her own business (Harriette Cole Media). She reflects on her first internship, then discusses what young people should expect during an internship interview and why she thinks internships are so important to starting one’s career path.
